February Birchbox

I am incredibly excited for my Birchbox this month because I have been dying to try out the Full Exposure palette by Smashbox but I have many nude shadows already so I have been hesitant to go buy more. I am still working on starting some picture tutorials (getting the right lighting etc.) so when I do that I will def do a post with these shadows. And maybe Jenna will want to do a post of the Color changing polish… yes color changing. It really did work, in the bottle at least. When I received the polish it was gold glitter and by the time I was taking the pictures outside it turned red, pretty neat! Oh and the puppys are my Aunts. Above is Button and below is Buddah and I could help but post the pics with them, they're just so cute!

If you would like to know more about Birchbox Check out my October Birchbox post I go into more detail explaining Birchbox.

Have you tried any of these products? Do you have Birchbox or have any questions about Birchbox? Let me know in the comments below!

Pantone Color of the Year: Radiant Orchid

This years Pantone Color is Radiant Orchid. So I thought I would share some Radiant Orchid makeup options. I'm pretty excited about this years color because I've always liked purple eyeshadow and just started to enjoy purple lipstick as well. I wanted to share some splurges and some steals. I just bought the Maybelline Brazen Berry lipstick and I am loving it. Hope you enjoy :)

Let me know if you have any favorite Radiant Orchid options that you've tried or want to try. Ciao!

Khroma Beauty and Sally Hansen Nails

Personally I hardly ever paint my nails. Nail Polish will not stay on my nails AT ALL, it chips no joke within a few hours. I don't know what it is! So I just stick with clear. My very good friend and roommate Jenna on the other hand LOVES nail polish so she will be doing the nail polish reviews :)

Jenna is on the right I am on the left

Jenna has on Khroma Beauty polish in Edge and Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Nourishing Nail Color in Pure White Tip . Here is her review: The Khroma nail polish goes on smooth and dries super fast, you might want to put on a clear top coat because it tends to chip. The Sally Hansen has always been one of my favorite brands of polish. I chose this winter white as my accent color, it has vitamins in it to help your nails grow. It goes on a little thick, make sure you don't have too much polish on the brush and it takes longer to dry.

You can find the Sally Hansen on Amazon here. Jenna just bought the Khroma at CVS recently but for some reason I can only find it here and here. If you try these polishes out let me know what you think, or if you have any polishes you recommend let us know! Ciao!

January Birchbox

Today I will be sharing my January Birchbox! If you curious about Birchbox and how it works check out my first Birchbox post October Birchbox

The products that I am most excited to use are the Fekkai Glossing Creme, I have not found anything that really tames my frizzy curls. Olive oil is supposed to be very good for your hair and for taming frizz. And the Inkia Eyeshadow, I like green shadows and it is an organic natural pigment which excites me.

I will keep you posted as I try certain things and let you know what I think. Let me know if you have Birchbox and what you think and if you have tried any of these products and what you think. Ciao!

Big Bold Brows

Who is into the bold eyebrow trend? I am!! I had some massive eyebrows growing up and unfortunately when I was in high school very thin eyebrows were in, so I took my tweezers and plucked away. I regret it now and have spent years trying to regrow them and fill them in with makeup.  I wanted to share some pictures with you of some of my favorite eyebrows.

Of course Cara Delevingne, she is the queen of eyebrows right now.

Lily Collins has the most amazing thick, dark, and perfectly arched brows.

And Kim Kardashian, well enough said right?

I will put up a post soon on my brow products (sneak peak: they're all Anastasia Beverly Hills!) and will try my first attempt on doing a picture tutorial. If that works I'll add that along with the review. Let me know what you think about big bold brows!

Garnier BB Cream

Hi! I'm back! :) My New Years resolution is to truly dedicate myself to this blog no more 2 1/2 month breaks! Without further ado let talk about BB Cream!

I love this for an everyday look. My skin is pretty good except for some redness in the cheeks and this takes care of that perfectly while still feeling nice and light on the skin. I have very dry skin so foundation usually clings to all my dry patches, this does not do that at all! This product has a nice creamy texture and goes on with a feel almost like moisturizer. I don't bother with brushes when using this, I blend it in with my fingers like you would to apply moisturizer. This is the "Classic" which is recommended for dry to normal skin, there are two other versions as well "Combination to Oily" and "Anti-Aging". It claims to: evens tone, hydrates, renewes, protects, brightens.

The Garnier site says that it comes in light/medium and medium deep. But I bought fair/light a few months ago and one for my friend last month at Target. I don't know if they are discontinuing it but its on Amazon for $11.04,  Target for $10.19, and CVS for $12.99. I usually buy mine at my local CVS store. You can find reference for the other versions on the Garnier Site. I have recommended this to a few friends and they all really like it, if you try it please comment below and let me know what you think!

October Birchbox

I have a subscription to Birchbox, and I will be sharing my goodies with you each month! Birchbox is an online company that anyone can subscribe to. It is $10 a month and you receive five samples of anything from hair products and makeup to nail polish or perfume. This is my sixth month and I am so happy with it. The samples are fairly large and you can customize your products. When you sign up they ask you things like your skin type, hair type, and products you would like to receive more or less of so you can get exactly what you want/need each month. If you really like the product the full sized version can be bought right from their site. You're charged monthly so if you decide you don't like it you can cancel at any time. I think its perfect if you're a makeup junkie like me or a newbie and want to try some products and get a feel for what you like. I get so excited every month to see what new goodies I get to try! If you're hesitant and have any questions let me know in the comments below. So without further ado lets unveil my October Birchbox!

I have not tried anything yet I wanted to get some nice pictures of everything unopened. My plan is to unveil the Birchbox and then update you guys when I try a product and let you know how I like it. We can trial and error this process and see what works best for us.

Here is a tid bit of my "subscription profile" so you can understand why I received the products that I did. Like I said you can customize your Birchbox, they don't just send out the same five things to everyone.

My hair is: Curly, Frizzy, Thick
My hair color is closest to: Brown
I do the following to my hair: Color Treat, Curl with a curling iron, Frequently blow dry, Straighten with a flat iron
My skin tone is: Light
My complexion is best described as: Dry
I am most concerned about: Redness or rosacea

Thats just some I don't want to bore you (I'm big on detail if you can't already tell)!

I'm really excited about the Costal Scents Eyeshadow, I've heard a lot about Costal Scents but haven't tried it. And I love purple so these colors are great! The other one I plan to try soon is the exfoliant, I have never done a microdermabrasion and because I have dry skin this could work really well for me. I also have very dry lips and I'm obsessed with Chap Stick so I'm pretty excited about the Hydration Lock as well. I will keep you guys posted on these products and update you when I try them! Ciao!
